Why individual therapy?
Individual therapy can truly be for anyone who is wanting to make a change in their life. Think of individual therapy as a personal tune up. You are doing your best to manage and balance life, relationships, career, etc. What comes along with all that is stress, fear, unhealthy patterns, unhealthy habits, and difficulty coping. Going to therapy is a way to explore those unhealthy patterns and identify the root of the problem in order to make a positive change. You get to decide what is considered unhealthy in your life. Is it anxiety? Depression? Anger? Feeling overwhelmed? Guilt? Fear? You have no clue but you do know that what you've been doing isn't working.
Deciding to begin therapy and own your story is a brave step which can involve both fear and excitement. By giving yourself the gift of therapy you can begin to cultivate ways to gain healthy change and support in your life. Many find themselves stuck in unhealthy patterns and relationships.
